Fujifilm launches latest instant camera in Jakarta The Square SQ20, the latest variant of Fujifilm Instax instant camera, was officially launched on Nov. 15 in Jakarta and will be available in Fujifilm stores in December.
Targeting young people, the Square SQ20 is the first instant camera in the series that has a zoom mode. It also has a Motion Grab feature that allows users to record a 15-second video, select the best frame out of the video and print it.
The camera comes with various other features as well, including Motion Mode that enables people to capture moving objects, Time Shift Collage with which four different photos over a certain period can be taken; and built-in filters like sequence and dreamy. Users can edit, add filter and print their photo as much as they want as long as it is still saved on the camera memory.
The camera comes in black and beige. It has a shutter button on both the right and left sides to it make easier to take photos, while selfies can be taken using a small mirror located beside the lens.
Photographer Putra Djohan said he was particularly fond of the camera’s Motion Grab feature that enabled him to choose the best frame when photographing a moving object. “It also makes me easier in editing, if necessary, and printing,” Putra said in an official statement. “The printed result is good.”
The camera is available for pre-order online from Nov. 15 to 25 with a starting price of Rp2,999,000 (US$206).
The brand is also set to hold an exhibition on the evolution of Instax for four days from Dec. 6 to 9 at Exhibition Hall in the West Mall of Grand Indonesia. Fujifilm launches latest instant camera in Jakarta (wir/kes, The Jakarta Post)
